I’m currently working on projects involving the BiSS protocol (particularly BiSS-C), and I’d like to request support for decoding BiSS commands in Logic2 (currently only single cycle data and register R/W are supported). It would be great to have this either as a built-in protocol decoder or as support for creating it via a High-Level Analyzer (HLA) or Low-Level Analyzer (LLA).
BiSS is commonly used in motion control and absolute encoders, and having the ability to decode command frames (including control, data, and CRC) would significantly enhance debugging and development workflows for embedded and industrial systems.
If it’s possible, could you consider adding BiSS protocol decoding in a future update? Or, alternatively, any guidance or starting point for implementing a custom analyzer for this would be appreciated.
@chanweibin Thanks for letting us know your need for that. I’ve posted your request to our GitHub repository for the BiSS analyzer below.
In case you are proficient with C++, you are free to customize our BiSS analyzer source code to meet your requirements! Our Protocol Analyzer SDK can be found below:
Additionally, feel free to reach out to Binho as well! They provide services to develop custom extensions for our Saleae Logic software. More information on their services can be found in the link below in case you are interested in reaching out to them for help with developing a custom solution that meets your specific requirements, or in case you need help with debugging issues with your extension.
