Saved data from Logic 1.2.18 will not load in 2.2.7

I have a saved capture file from Logic 1.2.18 and Logic 2.2.7 tells me there is an error loading the file.

I have renamed the extension of the file to .sal to make the software see the file. Also tried drag and drop.

The file will load in 1.2.18 so confident that the file is OK.

Software is running on a Mac.

Is this a known issue?

I could be wrong, but I believe I read in one of the previous threads, that the save formats are different and not compatible with each other. Again I could be wrong.
