Microsoft surface

Hi, just created support case #100009 - I’d really like to try the ARM version, too, please. Even Wireshark already runs under Arm64..

@hagen.hentschel Got your email! I’ll get you on the queue for the software build.

Hi Tim,

Mark sent me a link to the latest and I think I replied to it. But, my surface 11 is working fine and capturing fine now. I tested a pro 16 and pro 8, and both worked fine. THANK YOU TO ALL.

Hello,

Glad to see that a Windows ARM version is almost ready!

I have a question, I saw that you talked about the Logic 8, 8 Pro, and 16 Pro, but what about the legacy ones, because I have a first generation Logic 16 that I would like to use with my Surface laptop. My guess is yes, but wanted to double-check.

If you still need testers, I could test it as well if needed

Thank you for an amazing product btw

Yes, the original Logic and Logic 16 should work on arm windows too, although I haven’t personally tested it yet.

Right now our arm64 windows support is actually just our x64 windows software running under emulation with arm64 drivers, so it’s actually the same software you’re already using on windows with Logic & Logic 16.

If/when we ship a native arm64 build, that will be the same code base and maintain the same support as our x64 builds, including support for the original Logic and Logic 16. Both are included in our arm64 drivers.

If you would like to try it out, please email us. (instructions above)

Hi Mark,

We would like to check whether there is an official and stable release available for the ARM architecture.
In our usage scenario, we need to open .sal files recorded on the customer side, but we have observed that some versions cannot open these files properly.
Please advise whether an update is required or recommended.

Hi @a0965180859,

Sorry for the long delay, between the holidays and getting sick, I’ve been pretty backed up on communications.

I’ve just sent you an email with details and a download link for our current Arm64 Windows solution. I used the email connected to your account, if that’s not the right email, you can contact support directly too.

We’re not posting public download links because we want to collect feedback and improve the release before we make it generally available.

Do you mean that there is an updated ARM version available for upgrade?

This is still the latest update: Microsoft surface - #37 by markgarrison

We can provide a special copy of 2.4.37 (a few versions out of date now) that includes drivers for Windows on Arm. It still emulated, but it can run and supports our devices.
