Usually I couldn't care less about colors, but the wires don't match!

Usually, I really don’t care what color things are but in this case, being able to match the channel color to the wire color would be incredibly handy.

Yes, I realize that they’re in the right order to match a ribbon cable but on my little analyzer, the channels are in two rows. Not in order like the pins on a chip, but alternating between the two rows.

This makes it so that, to match the jumper color, instead of just pushing a still-connected slab of jumpers on the top and continuing around on the bottom (like chip pins), you have to peel them apart and alternate top, bottom, top, bottom, and so forth.

Also, sometimes I need to just quickly hook something up using whatever jumper I can find and being able to match the random colors of my random jumpers would be handy.

Seems like a simple enough thing but would really improve the user experience. For this user, anyway.

Thanks,
Steve

Which Saleae logic hardware do you have:

??

Can you show a picture of your analyzer?

Edit:
For the current logic hardware (Logic 8, Logic Pro 8, or Logic Pro 16), you can buy extra wire harnesses:

… so you can ‘quick connect’ to different targets without reconnecting pin by pin individually. They are conveniently labeled by channel number and perfectly color match the Saleae software, too

The wires are also made with a nicer quality than the cheap ‘dupont jumper wires’ you can buy elsewhere online.
