E.g the sample rate disappears, opening any of the options on the right of the UI consumes the whole screen.

You are correct in that splitting the screen with another app can get fairly cramped (below images are on a 1080p monitor, which I assume would still be a common setup).
A quick workaround could be to decrease the font size of our app.
This could help scale things down while being able to still see the sampling rate (albeit with smaller text).
Another solution may be for us to implement UI elements to be “wrapped around” when the window size would cause them to normally disappear.
What display resolution are you using, and do the above images summarize what you are seeing on your end as well?
