If I have the Logic2 application running but not using it (not even the active window) it still consumes ~8 % CPU.
If I disconnect the USB cable, it still consumes ~8% CPU. This is not a big problem but I use a laptop so it drains the battery.
I use Logic-2.4.40-linux-x64.
@jonas.aberg Sorry for the trouble with that!
I ran a quick test on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on an Intel i5 7200U (2 cores / 4 threads)
- No USB devices connected
- Logic version 2.4.46
Downloads | Saleae
- Try demo Logic device > selected [DEMO] Logic 8
- Software idle from there (i.e. no recording running)
- I’m getting ~4-5% Processor usage, which drops to 0% occasionally (Resources > Processes)
Can you share your PC specs and try Logic 2.4.46 above as well? Also, can you share what Linux distro you are running?
