Is there a way to easily 'clear' history?

On Logic MSO, I set everything up, let it trigger some number of time (40 in my case), and then save that capture. I’d like to then erase history, and capture another 40 trigger events. But I couldn’t find a way to erase history/memory. Instead, I just started a new session each time. Am I missing something basic that already exists in the UI?

@Brian Thanks for writing in! Were you looking for functionality like in the link below? This is currently only available for logic analyzers, and we’re looking into adding this functionality to Logic MSO.

@timreyes Yes, that’s similar to what I was thinking of. That method would require two clicks of the mouse and a menu navigation. Ideally there would be a keyboard shortcut or a single button to “clear all memory” which can be hit before starting a capture.

I will second this. I think the work around for now, is to create a new tab/session and close the current one. Instead, you could just clear the current one (a ‘clear/wipe session’ button and/or shortcut, with an optional ‘are you sure’ prompt?), so all historic capture data is erased/wiped from memory.

Since Logic MSO remembers things even between captures, you sometimes want to reset it all for a brand new session. On other scopes, you just restart/recapture, but Logic MSO has longer term memory beyond that - useful, but not always desired. It doesn’t take that long for the work around, but it can be a little annoying if you need to do it often.

Basically, I do a history wipe when debugging after certain changes made and wanting a clear indication that all data stored in the session history is only from captures AFTER a given change, and not some stale data lingering from an earlier capture before the change.
