Welcome to the 2.4.40 release of Logic! This release primarily focuses on fixing issues.
Note for MacOS users - we have changed the application bundle name from “Logic2” to “Saleae Logic”. Please manually delete the old Logic2 application from your Applications folder after installing this update to avoid confusion.
This release also includes a firmware update for Logic MSO devices. This is to support an upcoming format change to the calibration data stored on Logic MSO devices.
Improvements
- Changed the name of the Windows application shortcuts from “Logic ” to “Saleae Logic ” to make it possible to search for the software by the company name.
- Changed the name of the MacOS package from “Logic2” to “Saleae Logic” for the same reason.
- Improved handling of certain USB read operation edge cases on Linux.
- The marquee zoom tool now works over digital protocol results and on HLA rows.
Fixes
- Fixed issue where blocking automation capture commands like wait() would return before processing & post-capture trimming was complete.
- Fixed issue where software could get into an invalid state if a device was disconnected while recording or initializing.
- Fixed issues with cursors and the trigger line placement after resizing the application.
- Fixed issue where it was not supposed to be possible to start creating a new session while another session was still initializing.
- Fixed issue with using the original Logic device (discontinued model) with USB 1.1 connections.
- Fixed issue where certain value displays (like the Y cursors voltage) could display the wrong value under very specific circumstances.
- Fixed crash when using a digital trigger with Logic MSO on logic analyzer channel 2 or 3 on a 2-channel Logic MSO.
- Fixed recently introduced issue where trying to center the digital trigger with our non-MSO devices would instead center the start of the capture.
- Fixed display issue with the export dialog when exporting Logic MSO captures that include logic analyzer channels.
