Is there a Logic-2 release for Linux aarch64 hosts?

I have a MacBook Pro M4 running Debian Linux (Linux zero 6.1.0-35-arm64 #1 SMP Debian 6.1.137-1 (2025-05-07) aarch64 GNU/Linux); Is there a binary available of the Logic-2 software for this machine?

Thanks.

@Ken1 Thanks for writing in! With regards to Linux support, we provide our software in an AppImage file format which can be downloaded below.

There are a few ways that the AppImage can be executed which are summarized in this support article.

Hope that helps!

Tim,

Yes, I have had my Saleae logic analyzer for several years now, and have always run it from Linux…on MacBook Pros that have the Intel processor on them (x86-64 architecture). It works great. I have used the AppImage file format for that.

However, I recently switched to a MacBook Pro that has Apple silicon on it (arm64 architecture). But it seems that Saleae only provides AppImages for the x86-64 architecture:

file ~/Downloads/Logic-2.4.29-linux-x64.AppImage
/home/ken/Downloads/Logic-2.4.29-linux-x64.AppImage: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 2.6.18, stripped

I was asking if there is a binary (AppImage) available for the arm64 architecture.

@Ken1 That’s correct. With regards to Linux support, we only provide x86-64 AppImages.

As for ARM processor support, we provide an application file only for MacOS’s ARM silicon.

Hi @Ken1,

We haven’t started a real beta program for it yet, but we do have an experimental arm64 Linux build of Logic 2. I’ve send you an email with more information.

If you or anyone else has a arm64 Linux machine and would be willing to do some light testing of our software and devices, please let us know!
