I just ordered to my new Logic MSO and I’m really excited to start exploring. It’s great to see the recent progress with the new API offerings as well.
I see that the MCP plugin isn’t supported yet for the MSO. I love using AI to help me learn, does anyone have any updates on when this will potentially be available? I’m in no rush, as I have much to learn, just curious.

Sorry it’s not in the Logic 2 app yet. I recommend starting with our new Logic MSO headless API though, which we recently released. you can get it here:
If you point your agent at that post, it should be able to get you up and running quickly. The main limiting factor right now is that API is headless (meaning the GUI software is not used). However it can produce *.sal files that you can load in the Logic 2 software. We were also able to have agents build a basic UI for it in a few minutes.
The headless API’s main use case is automated tests / long running tests without human involvement. It’s not ideal for interactive use. That said, it is fantastic right now for closed-loop hardware development - where the agent is both controlling our tools while also writing the firmware on the other side, then testing it’s own firmware incrementally with our tools.
We will be expanding API and MCP support of the Logic 2 GUI software soon, but we have to finish a pretty big refactor project first. that Headless API actually contains a big upgrade to our capture management system that we need to finish installing into our GUI software before we’ll expose automation support for Logic MSO. The main reason for this is that the current capture control system in the Logic 2 software for Logic MSO does not work well for automation - it has a lot of rough edges which negatively impact interactive use a little, but negatively impact automation uses a lot worse.
