Hello,
Can someone tell me how to set up MDB protocol logging (both lines) so that a clear list is displayed in the table, similar to the CAN protocol?
I can’t figure it out. VMC->PER displays well in the graph, but there is nothing in the table.
PER->VMC doesn’t work at all, when I set 9bit → address is missing (like what? There is none in the answer), when I set MP, MDB, it’s also wrong, so I don’t know.
@kubrrrt I’m happy to help take a look on my end. Can you send your .sal capture file over? Feel free to trim it to save on file size and to isolate the issue.
In case you are using one of our pre-installed protocol analyzers, please configure it with your specific protocol analyzer’s settings when saving your capture file.
MDB.sal (6.4 KB)
@kubrrrt Thanks! I just opened your capture file and it looks like you are using the MDB-HLA that was developed by Amir El Sewisy linked below, is that correct?
Based on Amir’s provided image in his README, it looks like Amir’s HLA should produce values in the data table.
I wasn’t able to get Amir’s HLA working on your capture file however. You mentioned earlier that VMC->PER displays well in the graph. Can you confirm what settings you used for Amir’s HLA to get that working?
Also, can you confirm which specific Saleae Logic model you are using out of the ones pictured below?
As the best course of action, you may want to reach out to Amir directly for help with using their HLA, or to report any bugs with it.
