# What is the maximum input before breakdown?

Reverse-engineering can sometimes produce unexpected results.
What is the nature of 16pro inputs?
+/-10v is maximum AD input, that’s ok, but what about some higher voltages? let’s say ansignal suddenly proves to be able to spike to 50v.
Are the inputs ESD protected?

Hi Andre, thanks for checking with us. The absolute maximum voltage range is −25V to 25V for Logic Pro 16’s inputs. The inputs are not ESD protected.
