I’m using Logic 2 v2.4.40.

I want to trigger when a signal stops and stays high. It seems like this should be easy, but I can’t figure out how.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Given your trigger criteria:

See the existing idea (and vote for it) here:

> Hardware logic analyzers have the option to trigger on a logic state being stuck for a certain period of time either low or high.

> Currently Logic 2 supports "Pulse Trigger" which you need to specify both the minimum and maximum time before it

… as well as a clever work around using using the [software glitch filter](https://support.saleae.com/product/user-guide/using-logic/software-glitch-filter).

**TL;DR –**

On the **trigger source channel** :

- Set the **glitch filter** to the **maximum idle time** to wait before triggering
(i.e., **minimum time without an edge** on the trigger channel)
- Set [Capture Mode](https://support.saleae.com/product/user-guide/using-logic/capture-modes) to either:
  - **Trigger Mode : _Rising_ Edge**
(for a signal that idles **high** ), _ **OR** _
  - **Trigger Mode : _Falling_ Edge**
(for a signal that idles **low** )

Note: see above link for more details on the work around, including the technical limitations.

Also, you might want **two channels connected to same signal** , to both: (1) trigger on idle high (or on idle low) and (2) see all the signal edges w/o a glitch filter.
