A while ago I reached out to Saleae support directly (in chat or email or something) and I asked if I could purchase extra test clip holders. The answer was a hard ‘no’, which was disappointing. So now I’m on here asking for something slightly different: Can Saleae please share the 3d models of the holders so we can print our own?

I found some online but none of them work. We tried to create our own models by cutting a real one open, but the results weren’t ideal. Thank you.

I have been looking at this too but have not yet got to the point where I am creating those holders myself. My Pro8 is old (10 years or so) and the deLuxe packaging was a bit different in those days.

I’d be happy to give it a go and see if I can make something that works.
Would it be able to share some details on the model? Even just a reference image from the cross section would be nice. A straight photo with a ruler as reference would already be a nice start.

I do have a newer Pro8 at work that I can use to do further measurements but they don’t want me to cut it open 🥲

@r.jansen I’d be happy to send 2 test clip holders for your Pro 8! That way, you can make any measurements you’d like to make to it in-hand. Feel free to contact me using the link above if you are interested 🙂

I’m not able to share anything right now, no. We scrapped all our material from this effort. It just wasn’t worth it. The original holders were far superior in how they were able to hold the clips reliably without too much friction. Pretty impressive, honestly.
