# Logic Socket API with Logic 2 software

Hi! I’d like to use a TCP connection to control the Logic 2 software as described in the “Logic Socket API Users Guide”, but can’t find the “Enable scripting socket server” box to check (only Automation one), is it still valid for Logic 2 software?

@sicon76 The Socket API you are referring to is no longer supported and only works on our legacy Logic 1.x software.

For automation in our Logic 2 software, you’ll want to refer to our Automation API documentation below.
